WATCH: Lost George Harrison Song About Ringo Starr Surfaces

In celebration of what would’ve been George Harrison’s 74th birthday, Harrison’s wife and son held a pop-up shop. The event was part-party, part-launch of the extended edition of Harrison’s memoir I Me Mine.   

In a recent interview with Billboard, the late George Harrison’s wife, Olivia Harrison, opened up about her husband. (Her favorite George Harrison song? “Run of the Mill,” among others.) One particularly interesting part of the conversation revolved around Ringo Starr.

At the shop, Olivia was introduced to a song—“Hey Ringo”—that had been tucked into an envelope that was apparently in the piano bench. Dating the song to around 1970 or ’71, Harrison and Starr were quite surprised to find this lost song all these years later. Find out more in the video below:
