Elton John Invites Greta Van Fleet To Perform At His Oscars Viewing Party

If there was ever a moment that newcomers Greta Van Fleet realized they are really going places, an invitation from a certain music legend would be the sign.

Every year, Sir Elton John holds his annual Academy Awards Viewing Party where proceeds go toward the Elton John AIDS Foundation. It's one of the biggest parties in all of Los Angeles, and Greta Van Fleet just got the invite to perform at the event.

And as if that wasn't cool enough, Led Zeppelin's own Robert Plant recently gave his praise for the Michigan rockers, saying the lead singer (Josh Kiszka) sounds "pretty good." Interestingly enough, Kiszka's vocals have been described as sounding just like Plant's. (Hear the similarities below!)

In any case, Elton John recently announced a three-year farewell tour around the globe to mark his retirement from touring. Citing health-related reasons and a change in priorities (shifting his focus toward family), John said the farewell tour will be his way of thanking fans before saying goodbye.
