Upcoming Rock Releases For March

February 21, 2018

The month of March will bring a (small) handful of new music releases from Judas Priest, David Byrne, and Stone Temple Pilots, among others; however, the month is once again dominated by archival releases, anthologies, and re-releases.

The new LP from Judas PriestFirepower, is easily the most high-profile of the new albums, with the heavy-metal gods’ 18th studio effort set for release March 3rd on the eve of a new tour. Also garnering much attention is the third (and final) disc of a Jimi Hendrix trilogy (Both Sides of the Sky) that features 10 (out of 11) previously unheard/unreleased songs from the Stratocaster Master, which is also being released on March 3.

There are two live collections on the calendar as well—the re-release of Led Zeppelin's How The West Was Won three-disc concert package and a new Grateful Dead set (on vinyl!), The Best of The Grateful Dead-Live Vol. I.'

A new live recording from The Moody Blues will be out March 23 on CD and DVD that captures the band's 2017 performance in Toronto during the 50th Anniversary tour for their album, Days of Future Passed, appropriately titled, Days of Future Passed-Live. A new collection from British art rockers Procol Harum and two more reissues from The Cars (Shake It Up and Heartbeat City) round out some of the more notable March releases. See the complete list of March releases below!
