Dress For Success Semi-Annual Sale

Free Cancer Screening - Sept 19th

Local Masons will host a free cancer screening in Haysville on Saturday, September 19. Held from 9am-12pm at the Methodist Church on 601 E. Grand, it is one of 22 free cancer awareness events sponsored across the state this year by the Kansas Masonic Foundation (KMF). The screening is open to the public. West Side Steppers Square Dance Lessons

West Side Steppers are offering square dance lessons every Tuesday and Thursday beginning September 22-November 12. 16 lessons for $20, 7-9 pm. Semi-Annual Job Fair for Seniors

The semi-annual Job Fair for Seniors age 55 and over will be Sept. 29, 9am to 11am, at the downtown Senior Center, or Senior Service, Inc. at 200 S. Walnut.

Those 55 and over should register from today through Sept. 19.  It will be held at the Downtown Senior Center at 200 S. Walnut. Job seekers must be registered in advance! Questions? Call 267-1771

Wichita Carnegie Library Open House

On Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the public is invited to visit the Carnegie Library and learn about its history and restoration as part of the Centennial Open House.

This family-friendly event will honor the original purpose of the building with a public reading and book giveaway of “The Wizard of Oz.” Visitors can view artist Bryan Haynes’ mural “The Treaty of Wichita” depicting a critical meeting between commissioners of the United States and all of the major Plains Indians tribes which took place 150 years ago in October 1865.
